MDRT Gives Day is an online, one-day, global fundraising event that unites the MDRT community to support charities around the world. Funds raised during Gives Day support the Foundation’s Global Grants Program.

With an ever-changing world of fundraising best practices, the MDRT Foundation is evolving and improving upon traditional fundraising efforts. Gives Day allows us to make more of an impact while being more inclusive of the MDRT membership.

The goal of MDRT Gives Day is to show the philanthropic spirit of MDRT members and raise USD 500,000 to support the Foundation’s Global Grant Programs.

The MDRT Foundation gives to charitable organizations wordlwide, demonstrating the generosity, service and impact of MDRT members.

The MDRT Foundation offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Some of these include becoming a Gives Day Fundraiser, volunteering at the Foundation Booth during an MDRT meeting, joining an MDRT Foundation committee or participating in a service project.

• Establish a recurring, monthly donation.
• Donate a life insurance policy.
• Include the MDRT Foundation in your will.
• Donate expenses related to volunteer travel for MDRT assignments.
• Donate speaking fees.

Any individual, business, foundation, or organization with a credit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa), a computer or other mobile-enabled device (i.e. a computer, IPad, or smartphone), and access to the Internet may donate at MDRTGivesDay.mightycause.com. 

Donations through the MDRT Gives Day online portal are tax deductible and cannot be refunded. 

The MDRT Foundation will receive the full donation, less a flat rate of 5.9% plus $0.30, which covers the credit card processing and platform fees. MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express will be accepted. All credit card companies and platforms charge processing fees; this is not exclusive to Mightycause or the MDRT Foundation. For donors that give via their bank account, credit card processing fees will be replaced by a 1% transaction fee, plus a $1.50 fixed fee per transaction (total ACH processing fees will be capped at $5.00).

Mightycause offers donors the opportunity to cover the 5.9% plus $0.30 credit card processing and platform fees. Be sure to check the box during the donation process to cover those fees.

As host of MDRT Gives Day, the MDRT Foundation will receive contact information for donors who donate and participate in MDRT Gives Day. This information is used solely to thank the donor for participating, to provide the option to opt-in to receiving future notifications from the MDRT Foundation, and to notify the donor of future MDRT Gives Day activities.

All donations are final and cannot be refunded.

No, you do not need to create an account to make a donation. However, if you plan to give multiple times during MDRT Gives Day, creating an account means you only have to enter your credit card information once. Your account also collects your receipts in one location, enables you to track your donations, review the charities you support, and update any recurring donations you have set up.

Upon successful processing of your donation, your receipt is emailed to you. If you misplace this email, you can view your giving history and receipts by logging into your Mightycause account, or request a duplicate receipt by contacting Mightycause Support here.

Additionally, the MDRT Foundation will email you a receipt upon completion of MDRT Gives Day.

• Select 'Donations' on the left-side dashboard menu.
• You'll see an abbreviated report of everyone who has donation to your fundraiser. This report will show the last 30 days by default, but you can set the date range for whatever dates you'd like.
• You can see who has donated to your fundraiser, how much they gave, and when the donation was made. 
• This report can be exported as a .csv file with your desired filters in place.
